June 2012 From Nairobi (Kenya) to Jimma (Ethiopia): through the desert and beyond and back – passing border towns (Moyale), Omo River Valley (now threatened by GIBE III), Lake Turkana (declining water levels expected due to GIBE III) and populated southern highlands of Ethiopia. Keep updated on GIBE III impacts on Lake Turkana’s communities and Omo River’s communities. And if you haven’t heard about land grab and international land use displacement yet, read up on these issues: Meyfroid et al. 2010 PNAS, Weinzettel et a. 2013 Glob Environ Change.
